Health Check Print Settings

We have introduced a new ‘Print Settings’ feature to each page of Workshop Management. This will allow you to have fine control over how your Electronic Vehicle Health Check’s print on all of your PC’s. Read this article to find out how it works.

Quick Tip: Right click the print icon to print any type of Health Check.

Print Options:
The list box lets you select the type of Health Check you would like printed on this tab of Workshop Management. This will be remembered on your PC for each time you visit.

The options for how you would like the Health Check to be printed are changed on all the PC’s at your dealership. You can then print a ‘Customer Health Check’ on any PC and know it will be printed in an identical format.

HOW TO: Alert Parts to Pick Stock

The Vehicle Health Checking system has been upgraded to allow part picking lists for each job on the EVHC system. This will greatly improve communications between the service and parts departments if used correctly. Find out more in this informative post. For Service Advisors:

When marking a job as authorised/sold, use the “Request parts to pick stock” check box to send an alert to parts of a stock pick request.

For the Parts Department:

A vehicle with a stock pick request will be highlighted with a blue line. Click the vehicle information bar to expand the jobs for the vehicle. Items with a shopping trolley icon under the ‘Stock?’ header require picking. Once picked, click the trolley icon and select save. This will clear the job line indicating that it has been saved successfully.

If there is no stock, select no stock and press save. The job will remain in the picking list until it is marked as picked.

How To: Hide Prices on Health Check Reports

A brief guide on how to remove the price of an advised item on the Health Check report. This feature has been implemented within the Electronic Workshop Management system on the Customer Tab. See a demonstration image below or click read more.

Expand the details of a health check by clicking on the vehicle line. Advised items from the tech will then be displayed.
Click the “Outcome?” button and select either Sell, Lose or Defer options.
On the window that appears, you will see the option to “Hide value on Health Check?”. Check the box and press save. The fitted price will no longer show on the Customer Health Check Report.

How To: Add a Body Check on a Hand-Held/iPod

A brief guide to adding a body check using a compatable hand held device.

Note: This new feature of EVHC is compatible with Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad and Google Android 2.1 +.

Tap on ‘Body’ from the ‘Category & Location’ screen on your handheld device.
Drag a coloured square (by holding down and moving your finger) onto the diagram of the vehicle where the defect is located.

Helpful Tips

To remove a defect you have added to the diagram, tap it.
To clear all defects you have marked on the diagram, tap ‘Clear’.
Remember to tap save once you have made changes to the body check.

How To: Add a Body Check in Workshop Management

Click the ‘Pricing & Customer Authorisation’ tab on the Workshop Management screen.
Click the ‘Body’ link on the vehicle line.
Click and drag the coloured damage indicator squares onto the diagram where the defect is located.

Helpful Tips

To remove a defect you have added to the diagram, click it.
To clear all defects you have marked on the diagram, tap ‘Clear’.
Remember to tap save once you have made changes to the body check.

EVHC Body Check

Autoconnect Ltd releases bodywork checking feature. This report becomes part of the Electronic Vehicle Health Check. A new body diagram on the visual health check reports the location of chips, scratches, corrosion, cracks and dents added by the technician or sales advisor.

How To: Add a Sales Advisor

To add a new sales advisor to the EVHC system, follow these steps (note: only users with the Site Manager access level can perform this task).

1. From the main dashboard click Sales Advisors.

2. Type the required information about your new sales person as indicated below.

To add a new user to the EVHC system, please follow these steps.
Note: This will not add a Sales Advisor.

Note to Hondacom users.

When creating a new user please type your Hondacom username in the username field and leave the password blank.

1. From the main dashboard click Logins .

2. Type the required information as highlighted below.

3. Click Add.

How To: Add EVHC to Trusted Sites

To add EVHC to your Trusted Sites list please follow these steps.

1. In Internet Explorer click Tools. (If you cannot see tools across the top of your window press the ‘Alt’ key and it should appear.)
2. Click Internet Options.

1. Click on the Security tab at the top.
2. Select Trusted Sites.
3. Click the Sites button.

Untick the ‘Require sever verification’ check box.
Repeat these steps for http://www.vhcmanagement.co.uk, http://www.vhclog.com and http://*.evhc.co.uk
1. Enter website address into the ‘Add this website to the zone’ text box.
2. Click Add.

1. Click the Close button.
2. Click the Ok button.

How To: Reset Wireless Network Settings on an iPod or iPhone

A first step to trouble shooting iPod or iPhone wireless connection issues is to reset the network settings on your Apple device. Please follow this tap by tap guide.

1. Go into the Settings icon on your iPod/iPhone as shown below.
2. The next step is to tap on General.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of your screen and tap Reset.

4. Tap on Reset Network Settings.

5. Finally, tap Reset Network Settings again and your device will reset with the network settings cleared.
